Have you decided
where to go during the Summer vacation? If you haven’t decided yet, I would recommend some good options. There
are three places that I want to recommend and all of them have green forests
and clean water.
The first place
is Bonghwa. It is located in Gyoungsangbuk-do where there are many mountains
and rivers. Most of all, the rivers are very clean, so sweet fish that can
survive in fresh water live there. Also, Bonghwa holds the “Sweet Fish Festival”
every year. This year it will be from
August 1st to August 8th. In the festival, you can catch
sweet fish yourself and eat them right away. If you don’t catch any fish, don’t
be disappointed. There are many restaurants that sell the sweet fish dishes, so
you can enjoy its taste.
Second, I want
to recommend Damyang, which is located in Jeollanam-do. Damyang is famous for bamboo
and there is a famous bamboo park. The name of the park is “Juknokwon” and it
has many bamboos, so it is cool even during summer. Also, because it has parks,
ponds, and artificial waterfalls, you can see various scenes and have a nice
time in a natural environment. Another famous place of Damyang is “Dawn Redwood
Road” where you can breathe fresh air and see beautiful trees while riding a
bike.
The last place
is Namhae in Gyeongsangnam-do. This is one of the most popular places in Korea
and many people visit there every year. A German village is there and this is a
very unique and exotic place. In that village, you feel like you are in another
country. Because Namhae consists of many islands, you can see the sea just
about everywhere you go. I recommend that you get an accommodation near the
beach so you can swim and enjoy beautiful scenery.
Those three places are all charming places. You can have a special experience of catching fish yourself in Bongwha. If you want to avoid the heat of summer, you can go to Damyang and relax in the bamboo forest. In Namhae, you may be attracted by the blue beach and white sand. If you are tired of life in the city, go to those places and enjoy the fresh air and nature.
